Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf (/xif/ /njɑ/ [violent] [youth]) is a subtropical Large City located in the Sluptprond Principality of the Koiapi.

The name Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf is derived from the Goblin language, as Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf was founded by Qrilgin, who was culturaly Gnoll.

Climate

Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf has a yearly average temperature of 2°C (35°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 21°C (69°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool -16°C (4°F). The establishment of Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf is is constructed arround a series of crampt cobblestone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The city posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its buildings being predominantly formed through the combination of basic geometric shapes. However, it shown in the detailing given to the structures such as its characteristic tall columns, intricate detail, symmetry, harmony, and balance in their designs to an astonishing degree of precision. Decorative elements for the buildings tended to be built into the structure itself, making great use of fluting, frescoes, inlays, and embossing.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf lost 119 people, 355 livestock, and 23 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 221, when members of Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf's militia enacted an operation to gain control of a particular ruin. The operation was complicated by the officer in charge of Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf's forces was incompetent, and issue many foolish and-or unprofessional orders. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in victory for Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Guwæ̈pa-njä Xluwuf's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
